The press fit diameter of Superior shoulder guide pins is the same as the press fit diameter of the corresponding press fit bushing. This allows for boring of the same size hole in the punch holder and die shoe. The press fit diameter of Superior shoulder guide pins is ,30 - ,38mm oversize to allow grinding stock for precision fitting.

This provides excellent resistance to seizing and scoring. Bronze sleeve bushings are typically used for high speed applications.

Friction Demountable Guide Pins

For easy removal, demountable guide pins are secured to the die shoe with clamps and socket head cap screws.
